Last few weeks there have been no updates here, since both of us were busy.
While.you were busy in entertaining people in Pinki aaka's wedding ceremony and mumma was busy in office.
Then both of us got very busy in welcoming the new member of our family chota baby, Adwait.

The first remark you made after looking at him was " kitna chotu hai". You played the role of didi very nicely.
Helping in his oil massage, changing his cloths etc. trying to take him in your lap, singing him lullabuys.

mama . mami and nani were very impressed by your eating habits and disciplined manners. Mumma got a good scolding from mami so being harsh on you. So mumma has decided to be more polite and soft with you now onwards.

Those 10 days we were together, I just didnt feel like coming back to office.
Missing you a lot princess, come back soon!

Compassion - A new emotion

This deewali, you have given Mumma a very nice gift. You learnt to be compassionate. I was upset and miserable which lead to tears which I couldn't hide. First you thought it was your fault, so you readily said sorry and tried calming me down. Later, when you were sure there is something grave, you wiped my tears and gave me a tight hug. You tried making me talk about this by asking " Kay jhala , tula lagla ka" ?

The way I felt when you wiped my tears with your little hand and consoled me, is something I cannot explain in words. I am very happy to find a new companion.

Thanks Princess for showing me the brighter side of life!

Talent at Three

1. Preempting the sentences of mumma aka Mind Reading.
      
       After 3 days when I went home I was told that you were crying for me. I thought to reiterate the fact that I always come and meet you on the day I promised, by conveying that I keep my words. I tried doing this in a little round about way. I bought Kinder Joy for you and while giving it to you I said : Geet, I promoised that I will bring Kinder Joy for you. Here it is, see I always do what I say. To my amazement , pat came the reply from you - " Mumma, I didn't cry for you, I was crying for papa. I knew that you will come today." You preempted that I was about to say the same thing to you.   
     
2. Decision Making

I asked you whether you will like to have Dairy Milk or Jalebi. You thought for a while. I gave you three reasons why Jalebi is better.
One, you don't eat it everyday like Dairy Milk, Two, only Mumma gets you Jalebi, Dairy Milk everyone and anyone can buy and Three, It is more in quantitu and even Kaka, Kaku and Ajji can eat it.

You thought for 2-3 minutes and decided for Jalebi. I know I made you choose what I wanted, but the fact that you listened to everything whithout crying and insisting on Dairy Milk, you evaluated the option and then decided was what I was impressed with.

3. Drawing Analogy :
Mumma always calls you princess and Papa always call you "Beta". One day I called from Office and said, Beta, Kya kar rahey ho?, you responded, tum Papa ho kya? and this you do all the time and for a lot of other things also.

You truly are gifted Princess!

Weekend Updates

This weekend Mumma decided to spend some good time exclusively with you. Just the two of us.
Saturday I picked you up from home and went to see the Doc who declared you are absolutely ok , no wheezing at all.
We went to a mall after that and you helped mumma pick up a capri, got yourself new shoes and a smart dress. We had Idlies for dineer and you thanked me 7- 8 times for that.

The Sunday was marked with WATER.
We started the day with roof top swimming pool, you were so excited and thrilled being in water. You learned floating with the life - guard.
Evening we went to Juhu Beach and you were thrilled to see such a big swimming pool that is Arabian Sea and a huge Sand Pit that is beach. We had a nice time in water and played a lot in Sand.
Night when we were to come back it started raining heavily and you loved it.

You also met Shreya mausi for the first time who declared that you look exactly like me and I beamed on this compliment.

Here is to more such outings!!!
Will do this more often princess!

My Prayers on your Birthday

I pray to God for your health, all your cough, wheezing, itching everything should go off.
I pray to God for your wealth, so that you should always have spare to help others.
I pray to God for your wisdom, so that you can understand the difference between right and wrong and even if you choose the path which according to some is not right you stick to it.
I pray to God to give you strength to follow your heart always.
I pray to God that you remain reasonable the way you are, all your life.
I pray to God that you understand the need and significance of having a working mother.

THE Birthday

10th October, 2011. THE third birthday. It was THE birthday since we were able to celebrate for the first time. Although you were still recovering from pneumonia and till late saturday night mumma and papa were delibrating whether we should have a party or not, we could celebrate a very nice fashion.

Here is all we did on THE birthday.

• Started from 12 midnight, everyone wished you birthday since you were awake.
• We had a nice drive on prakash mama's two wheeler, went to the doctor for a review and had a nice time in market.
• Kaku and Ajji made your favourite dish of Idli and Sambhar.
• Kaku made a very nice Rangoli especially for you where you had to sit and eat.
• After Lunch you slept for 3 hours and got up fresh all ready for the party and got into your New dress which you yourself selected and had a bit of makeup from Mumma.
• Kaku Ajji, Atya, Mumma everyone did Aarti for you and then we all went to banquet.
• Papa had made arrangments for a very nice decoration, tatoo artist and lot of games for you as well as all the adult guests also.
• You then cut you Doremon cake.
• Everyone including you then danced a lot.
• After the party, it was all about a the gift opening and you received 2 very nice dolls, one of them is your BETA now.

Everyone will remember your birthday party for a long time.

Not So Good Firsts

First Time Hospitalization on account of Pneumonia.
You have been brave for the past three days being playfull whenver the fever was down and generally getting better.
Today, though you slept throught the day you had fever in the afternoon and doctor decided to keep you in observation for two days.

I have no words to explain the misery of looking at a small hand with so many bandages to hold the IV.
And today I am remembering your nani like never before.
