Season of Firsts

This is a Season of Firsts..

Last evening was your first conversation and Last night first time you had your dinner all by yourself.....
I was really surprised the way you sat on your chair and table and without any, absolutely minimal, wastage finshed your dinner neatly.

Today for the first time you  actually said a cheerful bye to me when I was leaving you at day care, you were happy to see me leave ...(so that you can get rid of me and keep that face cream bottle with you, without me nagging you to give it back)

God Bless!!!!

Am I feeling nervous that you are growing up too fast and very very soon you wont need me???
hmm....

Complaint No, 1

First ever initelligent conversation between her highness and me
so what if it was a complaint.

Now that was one understanding, inetlligent approval I ever got. :)

New Year Letter

Dearest Princess,

I wish to start this new year by thanking you...

Thank you for all the good things you taught me like saying thankyou for small little favours.

Thank you for making me express my love more often. (lot of PDA which was a real no no for me earlier)

Thankyou for teaching me the most important virtue "Patience". This one I really needed.

Thank you for loving my cooking - I loved the way you finished off the Cake on Christmas.

Most Importantly thank you for taking me out of the guilt trip for putting you in Day Care. I cant forget your excitement on the first day after the vacation. The way you just went inside running and kept on the excitement till the night was amazing.

Thankyou princess for letting me grow up with you..:)

Love
Mumma

a big wow and a long ooooooooooooo

My princess is learning to talk and along with a rich vocab she also has her share of expressions.
The other day we went to a newly opened supermart and geet enjoyed a lot. While coming back she told us she still wants to go to a mall. May be her idea of mall was not completed since there were no escalators to take a joy ride on.
She told her father " mujhe moon jana hai" we said we just came back from there only. we were on the ground floor , where were you? she thought for a while and said "OOOOOOOOOO app necchey they, main to upan thi..
the next was a big " Wow" on returning home the doting Ajji ( grandma) was ready with home made ladoos.
God Bless princess you really know how to make someone's day:)

Broken Promises....

I wanted to be regular in blogging here, so that I can keep a record of memory of the happiest days spent with Geet..........
But, when the time came to keep the memories or to enjoy and do things which infact make those memories, I choose the later one.....
Let us see how much can I keep up with this blogging when work is so lax....

the tough call and benefits of listening to one's heart.

I think I am the only mother rather the only working mother who has let her child get away from her for a reason other than work. For the benefit and happiness of my Mother - In-Law.
She was admant going to Bangalore and i could not have kept my child with me without compromising on her comforts and handing her to maid.

I listned to my heart and did what I thought was best for everyone's happiness. Though i missed my daughter badly but ultimately this has turnedout to be a win-win situation for everyone.
Benefits of this trip of my daughter with my MIL to Bng.
1. My daughter was in safe hands of my MIL no relying on servant.
2. MIL took a much overdue break and was happy to enjoy the new found freedom.
3. SIL adored the kid and taught her few very good dance moves and bhajans.
4. We got a good break as couple and enjoyed our second honeymoon in Nainital.
