Game of Patience

Two consecutive days in different shopping malls and two different difficult tests of patience.

One, sitting through a 40 minutes meeting in a cramped meeting room with no space to move and no permission to speak or make any kind of noise.
Second, enduring 1 hour of selecting and trying out different dresses in front of trial room with no freedom to run around and enjoy.
Excellent performance on both counts, incredible patience shown for a toddler.

On both occassion, to start the journey towards home required a lot of patient persuasion, incentive of icecream and toys and finally a patient listening to 20 minutes of howling and screaming without getting upset and irritated.
Irritation was there for sure which was endured with silence, average performance shown on both counts for a mother..

You win hands down in this game Princess:)

Mixed Emotions

I feel so happy that you are mostly like me, still sometimes I feel few things you shouldn't have picked up from me may be like my loud voice.

Today, I was faced with this happy unhappiness more strongly than ever before.
We went to school and realized that we have missed the Parent Teacher Meet on saturday due to some confusion. An informal PTM started and I was given your report card, your works of painting and crafts and was getting a general update on you, when you interupted me with a sweet Muma, mumma, I looked at you and you very sweetly told me : Bye . Bye Mumma, and the look on your face said, "Ab jao bhi".

I was like.............................GONE BLANK.....

I knew this day will come and will come sooner than anticipated that you will wait for me to go so that you can do whatever you wished and I knew this because I did the same. What I was not ready for was that it will come soooo soon.Much too soon ..

Your teacher very happily declared you are very confident and independent. May God keep this confidence and independence intact and  May God give me wisdom to enjoy it.

Doting Ajji

Most of the posts I am writing on this blog are for myself, but this one, princess, I wish even you should read and cherish.
I always feel sorry for your misfortune regarding your grandparents. You could never see your Nana, Ajja and Nani left so early that you will never have any memory of them, once you grow up.

But, God has been kind to  compensate it by giving you world's most loving and doting Ajji.
She has been taking care of you even before you were born.
She used to cook all my favourites food so that you can be happy inside me.
She took care of me and you together.
After you were born she just couldn't take herself away from you.
You fall ill, she kept a fast.
You had dengue, she came running from bijaur sitting in an ordinary bus.
Till date whenever she is around I never bother to think about your food and milk because I know she is planning for your dinner even before you finish your lunch.

The photograph below bears testimony to the fact that she is single handedly carrying out the role of all four grandparents.

God Bless and Kala Tika for Ajji!

After a long break

First day @ school and day care after a long break..

Lovely reception you got from teachers, and I was too glad to see Vivaan so happy to have you back.
but what delightfully surprised me the most is that some of the parents actually told me that they missed you..

Last but not the least, Ishaan dada was also so happy to see you.:)

Way to go princess, you really know how to win hearts...
